Our estimators review your submission within two business days. Incomplete enquiries may receive a request for additional information before pricing commences.
Scope Assessment
Commercial quotations are prepared from drawings and specifications provided. Residential enquiries may require a site visit to assess existing conditions before fixed-price quotation.
Quotation Delivery
You receive a written quotation with scope inclusions, exclusions, programme assumptions and validity period. We are available to discuss the quotation by phone or email.
By submitting this form you agree to our Privacy Policy. Your information is used solely for quotation preparation and project communication.
Quotation Inclusions
Every Aikon Interior quotation includes a defined scope of works, explicit exclusions, programme assumptions, mobilisation lead time and quotation validity period. Commercial quotations reference drawing numbers and specification clauses. Residential quotations distinguish fixed-price scope from allowance items for unknown conditions.
Drawing Submissions
For commercial projects, email drawings to info@aikoninterior.com referencing your quotation request. Accepted formats: PDF, DWG. Include lining schedules, reflected ceiling plans and fire engineering extracts where applicable. Drawing review is included in our quotation process at no charge.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a quotation take?
Commercial quotations: 2–5 business days depending on drawing completeness. Residential fixed-price quotations: following site visit, typically 3 business days.
What areas do you service?
Commercial: metropolitan Melbourne and greater Victoria. Residential: eastern and south-eastern suburbs from our Blackburn VIC 3130 base.
Do you supply materials?
Material supply is included where specified in contract scope. Alternatively, we install client-supplied materials with adjusted pricing. Specified in every quotation.
After You Submit
Upon receiving your quotation request, our estimating team assigns a reference number and confirms receipt by email within one business day. If your submission lacks critical information — such as project location, scope description or drawing references for commercial works — we will request the missing details before commencing pricing. This ensures the quotation you receive reflects deliverable scope rather than assumptions that change at site.
For commercial projects approaching tender deadline, note your closing date in the scope description field. We prioritise time-sensitive enquiries where mobilisation dates are confirmed and drawing sets are complete. Incomplete submissions are not deprioritised deliberately — but they cannot be priced accurately without the information needed to assess access, specification and programme constraints.
Residential homeowners submitting enquiries will be contacted to arrange a site visit if the property is within our service area. Fixed-price quotations are provided following the visit, with clear distinction between defined scope and allowance items for conditions that cannot be assessed until existing linings are opened.
Commercial Quotation Requirements
To price a commercial lining package accurately, our estimators require minimum documentation at tender stage. Incomplete submissions delay quotation and increase the risk of scope disputes at contract. The following documents should accompany every commercial quotation request:
- Architectural lining schedules or partition type schedules with drawing references
- Reflected ceiling plans showing grid layout, ceiling heights and bulkhead locations
- Fire engineering report or fire-rated assembly schedule (where fire-rated scope applies)
- Acoustic engineering report or Rw rating schedule (where acoustic partitions apply)
- Specification extracts covering plasterboard types, finish levels and jointing requirements
- Master programme with lining mobilisation date and practical completion target
Where BIM models or coordinated Revit files are available, we prefer these over 2D PDF sets for multi-storey projects — set-out validation from coordinated models reduces the RFIs that delay framing commencement on site.
Residential Quotation Process
Residential quotations follow a defined sequence designed to protect homeowners from surprise costs. First, we discuss scope objectives by phone or email. Second, we conduct a site visit to assess existing conditions. Third, we provide a written fixed-price quotation with programme duration, scope inclusions, exclusions and any allowance items for unknown conditions. Fourth, upon acceptance, we schedule works and assign a dedicated site supervisor as your single point of contact throughout the project.
We do not quote residential renovation scope from photographs alone. Existing lining conditions — framing behind plasterboard, services locations, substrate quality — materially affect scope and price. A site visit is mandatory for fixed-price residential quotations within our service area.
